COFFEE ROASTS: NAVIGATING BETWEEN OPTIONS

Understanding the types of coffee roasts is critical for every importer. Here is a brief summary:

Light roasts

Known as ‘cinnamon’ or ‘first crack’, these beans are light brown and offer a roasted bean flavor with pronounced acidity.

Medium roasts

Perfectly balanced, medium roasts have a balanced flavor, aroma, and acidity. Known as ‘American roast’ due to their popularity in the United States.

Medium-dark roasts

With a richer, darker color, these roasts begin to show oils on the surface of the bean, offering a bittersweet aftertaste.

Dark roasts

Con un color más rico y oscuro, estos tuestes empiezan a mostrar aceites en la superficie del grano, ofreciendo un regusto agridulce.

SIERRACO'S COMMITMENT TO QUALITY: ORGANIC AND BEYOND
